Demo Product Collab

Here are my terms regarding content I create featuring demo products that you send to me. Content created is solely owned by me and published to my various accounts on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Blue Sky, Snapchat, Amazon, Twitch, Facebook, and articles for my website. I'm open to other social platforms but you'd need to specify which you'd be interested in.

What content do I produce from products sent to me? The guaranteed format is a live stream unboxing. Please keep in mind there is no guarantee I will produce everything on this list unless we agree to specific formats beforehand.

  • A live stream where I unbox the product, spend time learning about its specifications, try it indoors, and talk to chat. This is the primary format that I produce. It includes my fully unfiltered thoughts and first impressions. This will likely be simulcast on my YouTube channel, Twitch, and Amazon Live (if the product is sold there). I might integrate additional platforms such as TikTok and Instagram in the future but those platforms represent technical challenges to multi-casting. On YouTube, I will make one video clip from the live stream with their built-in clipping feature if there is a relevant continuous section of the live stream I want to feature as a traditional video.
  • A one minute or less vertical video posted on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts based on the live stream footage.
  • A produced full length video that will go on YouTube and Amazon if the product is available there.
  • Amazon influencer page photos. This is only possible if the products are sold on Amazon.
  • A website article

Here are my collaboration terms that must be agreed to:

  1. If you attempt to send me a package from a foreign country and there is an import fee attached, please understand that I won't pay the fee. You would need to provide the money so that I can have the product released to me.
  2. I need to know if your product is currently being crowdfunded. Crowdfunding means websites like Indiegogo, Kickstarter, and GoFundMe. Please tell me if your products are being offered through this method so I can decide before agreeing to have something sent to me.
  3. Unless requested by you, the products will stay in my possession. If you want the products returned then we can discuss a fee beforehand to offset my production expenses. I will make exceptions, but we need to discuss details beforehand. In addition to my production fee, you will need to pay for shipping with a 100% markup on the final shipping cost due to handling expenses and transfer fees.
  4. The live stream and any other content I might produce is not be considered a review, but rather an exploration of your products in my unique style. I will include my honest opinion of what I find good about the products and what I think can be improved. I will mention any flaws or issues I ran into while using the products. No products are perfect, especially for everyone. Viewers will not respond well to unrealistically positive assessment. Your business should understand this before working with me or marketing your products in general. Happy customers are well informed customers that receive fair and honest information.
  5. Any work I produce regarding the products such as live streams, videos, photos, and website articles are copyrighted by me. You can share any of my social media posts I make or share the video links with the related thumbnail and teaser text, but you are not allowed to download and re-post my work and/or writings in full on your social media, website, or any other forms of advertisement such as print without my permission.
  6. You are allowed to take a few screen-grabs of the stream for your own social media posts as long as it links to the original content.
  7. You are allowed to use short video clips of the live stream or other videos in social media posts as long as it links to the original content.
  8. All of your promotion involving me must directly link to what I produced about the products. You are not allowed to use my likeness to promote your products where I’m being indirectly used to sell them. If you want that level of promotion, such as in a product ambassador role, then please contact me with a proposition.
  9. There is no specific time frame for video production, but usually it takes a month or less. I will keep you updated on progress and will contact you if any issues arise.
  10. In the case that I am incapable of producing any content such as the live stream unboxing, I will make a reasonable attempt to contact you about returning the products, but I can’t give you an absolute guarantee. There is always the chance of fires, theft, and other extreme circumstances I don’t have control of. Understand that there is some level of risk for you in this collaboration. Here is a YouTube playlist of successful collaborations (photography channel) as well as my Technology channel.
  11. I will not delete or edit anything unless I made an important technical/specification mistake. If there is a technical mistake in the video then I will make a reasonable attempt to correct it. I will clip out sections if the platform supports that feature. This does not include anything regarding my opinion unless it relates to a feature I didn’t understand properly.
  12. Any content will include my affiliate links to the products such as on Amazon, B&H, and eBay depending on where you sell your products. I will also link to your website if desired.
  13. I make a best effort in all of my work, but keep in mind that I ultimately have little control over how popular my content becomes. Some of my work turn out to be successful and others do not. I make no guarantees regarding reach.
  14. I will not take requests regarding video title, thumbnail image, or general content in anything that I produce. Statements like “The best product(s) for XYZ!” must solely be based on my opinion and not based on suggestions or requests from your company. You can tell me about important features of the products or aspects of the products you are most proud of. I will take that into consideration, but all of it will be based on my discretion and focus on doing what’s best for my audience. I want to inform my audience so that they understand what they are buying.

I will not create Amazon.com customer reviews. That is against their terms of service.

I have an Amazon.com based Affiliate Storefront. The videos I produce might be uploaded there if it fits Amazon’s submission requirements. Those videos can potentially be visible on linked product pages in addition to my storefront, but that depends on Amazon’s Creator Hub video recommendation system. I have no control over that.

Reviewing the Thermalright TL-G12 and TL-C14 Fans

I recently picked up a bunch of Thermalright fans for a new PC build, specifically the TL-G12 (120mm) and the TL-C14 (140mm). At the time, they were pretty inexpensive, and the promise of fluid dynamic bearings (FDB) along with PWM control sounded like a great deal on paper, so I bought quite a few of each. In this article and related video I go into detail about their installation and use.  Check out the video on YouTube for a lot more information:  Boxes for the Thermalright TL-G12 and TL-C14 fans. Specifications listed on the TL-G12 fan box. Specifications for the 120mm TL-G12: Speed: 1500 RPM (+/- 10%) Noise: Rated 23.6 dBA or greater. Airflow: Up to 62.6 CFM Connector: 4-pin PWM with a daisy-chain feature. Extras: Includes rubber pads on the corners for vibration dampening and standard case screws. One thing I noticed on the G12 frame is the lack of an airflow direction indicator, but it's a standard fan design, so it's easy enough to figure out. Specifications shown on ...

Working on a second GPU review.

I might as well start things off here!  I'm working on a second GPU video because I had ended up swapping out the cheap Amazon Warehouse Deals RTX 4060 one for a larger quieter one. I also was able to do 4k tests without a 4k monitor by using the Atomos Ninja V. Starting to look through the results. Here is one in Google Sheets on Affinity Photo 2 using their built-in benchmark.  The ASUS Proart RTX 4060 has a performance and quiet mode which is what the PM and SM data lines mean. So far from what I've seen of the data these two modes don't mean much from a performance standpoint, at least on my old i7-6700 based PC build. It feels like a marketing based feature and I'm probably going to leave the card in quiet mode.  I'm not sure how much of a difference these scores mean in practice between the GTX 1060 and RTX 4060, but the number is larger! haha

Upgrading from GTX 1060 to RTX 4060: Performance Gains in an Older System

(I used Claude AI to generate this article based on my video's transcript, so keep that in mind it might not be perfect even though I've gone through it to correct any issues I see. Also keep in mind that I've done further testing with an ASUS Proart 4060 compared to the MSI 1060 on my old PC and noticed a few situations where the CPU was limiting performance such as FFXIV minimum framerates.) https://youtu.be/yR6XPvt-F0A I recently decided to take a look at the GIGABYTE RTX 4060 low profile version. This was the cheapest RTX 4060 card I could find as an Amazon Warehouse Deal, and I was curious to see if my old computer would benefit from upgrading from a GTX 1060 6GB to this new card. Low profile! My current system is built around an Intel i7-6700 CPU, which is likely to be the main limitation in this comparison. I was particularly interested in the sound profile of this card given its tiny size. I don't take a look in the video, but potential benefits of AV1 encode/d...
